免疫療法の費用
癌の治療法はいくらぐらいかかるのでしょうか。注目を集めているのは免疫療法です。
しかし、免疫療法は健康保険の適用外であるため治療にかかる費用は高額なものになります。
おおよそどれぐらいの金額になるのかを紹介しましょう。
たとえば、免疫療法のひとつであるCAT療法と呼ばれるものは大体1回につき21万円もかかります。
それを標準で4回行いますから、それだけで100万円弱になるのです。
もちろんそれ以外に事前に検査を受けなければなりませんから、あっという間に100万円は超えてしまうのです。
その他の治療法では200万円以上かかるものもあります。
個人で負担する費用としては、かなりの額になるのです。
免疫療法の効果は全くないとは言えないのですが、明確な臨床試験の結果がないケースも多いようです。
また、個人差も大きいことからすべての人に効果があるとは言い難いのが現実です。
最も効果的な免疫療法でも3割程度の人に効果がある程度です。
そう考えますと、癌の治療としてはまだまだ改善の余地がある治療法と言えるでしょう。
それでも多くの人が免疫療法に期待をしています。
それは副作用がないことや、手術などをする必要がないことが大きいのかもしれません。
癌に罹っても完治することができるのであれば、副作用がないほうがいいのです。
放射線治療などでは癌は死滅しますが、正常な細胞にもダメージを与えますから予後のケアが必要になってくるのです。
どちらがいいのかは一概に判断できません。
しかし、費用の面で免疫療法が不利であることは間違いありませんね。
最近では民間の医療保険で免疫療法も費用を賄える商品が出てきているようです。
